Deerpath Capital is a leading direct lending firm specializing in providing first lien senior debt financing to middle market companies. Deerpath is focused on providing debt capital for acquisitions, refinancings, ownership transitions and growth capital to companies in the U.S. lower middle market. Deerpath has investment offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale, as well as overseas investor relations offices in London, Seoul, Tokyo and Brisbane. The firm employs approximately 100 employees globally.

Position Overview:

As part of a growing firm in the asset management industry, the candidate will have a diverse set of responsibilities within the finance function. The candidate will work directly with the Loan Administration, Investor Relations, and Accounting teams and will report to the Treasury team. This role will help build a strong foundation in reporting, analysis, compliance, and investor communications. The complexity and ownership of projects will increase over time with commensurate experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update schedules related to portfolio and fund performance metrics using large data sets.
  • Maintain and update schedules for the Investor Relations team.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting for the Investor Relations team and other internal teams.
  • Develop reporting knowledge related to Solvency II private debt reporting requirements.
  • Provide analytical support to the Treasury team.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
  • Assist with annual reviews and audits.


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • 0-2 years of directly related experience.
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of GAAP accounting.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of financial statements and financial analysis.
  • CFA candidate preferred.


Compensation Range: $75,000–$95,000, plus a competitive bonus
