Loan Administration Analyst (2026 Grad)

Deerpath Capital is a leading direct lending firm specializing in providing first-lien, senior debt financing to middle-market companies. Deerpath is focused on providing debt capital for acquisitions, refinancings, ownership transitions and growth capital to companies in the U.S. lower middle market. Deerpath has investment offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale, as well as overseas investor relations offices in London, Seoul, Tokyo and Brisbane. The firm employs approximately 100 employees globally.
Primary Responsibilities
As part of a growing firm in the asset management industry, the candidate will have a diverse set of responsibilities within the loan operations area. The candidate will report directly to the VP of Loan Administration and work with the loan operations team on the following tasks:
- Responsible for loan administration including onboarding of loans into internal systems (Solvas CDO Suite).
- Responsible for monthly borrower billing and loan accrual entries into loan administration system.
- Execution of post-closing loan administration duties including assignment agreements, gathering loan agreements and other documentation from legal counsel.
- Work with Treasury team to obtain allocations and prepare flow of funds for new/add-on investments.
- Prepare payoff calculations for exited investments.
- Work with operations team on investor requests, ad hoc reporting and communications with legal counsel.
- Manage the automated borrower/lender notice system, check for accuracy, reconcile discrepancies and follow up on collection and archiving of all notices with custodian banks.
- Distribute deal documents on recently closed transactions to custodian banks and other related parties.
- Prepare transaction confirmation letters for new investments and coordinate the response efforts as requested by service providers.
- Responsible for preparing loan transfer packages and distribution/communication with independent third-party service provider.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Well-developed IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills, work ethic, independence, problem-solving ability, effective communication skills, and overall positive attitude.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer knowledge and skills, including advanced proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word-processing applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
Compensation Range: $60,000–$70,000, plus a competitive bonus
