Position Overview

As part of a growing firm in the asset management industry, the candidate will have a diverse set of responsibilities. Candidate must be able to work independently to provide timely updates on borrowers’ financial performance, aid in the underwriting of new credit exposure related to borrower’s M&A activity and manage ongoing portfolio monitoring including amendments and quarterly valuation reports of portfolio companies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing monitoring of investments to identify changes in company performance, industry conditions, and conduct meetings with management teams.
  • Prepare and present updated financial models and analyses, operating assessments, valuation guidance, industry overviews, market information and report findings to firm’s investment committee.
  • Well versed in amendment negotiations and structuring.

Desired Skills &Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, a concentration in finance or economics preferred.
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience in buyside transaction advisory, corporate banking, leveraged finance or at a similar Lender. Candidates without strong credit underwriting or private credit will NOT be considered.
  • Strong knowledge & understanding of credit analysis, financial accounting/modeling, complex capital structures, financial covenant packages and loan portfolio management and valuation.
  • Considerable deal execution experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Restructuring experience is a plus.
