Deerpath is focused on providing debt capital for acquisitions, refinancings, ownership transitions and growth capital to companies in the U.S. lower middle market. Position Overview

As part of a growing firm in the asset management industry, the candidate will have a diverse set of responsibilities within the finance area. The candidate will work directly with the Loan Admin team, Investor Relations team, Accounting team and report to the Treasury team. Candidate will build a foundation in reporting, analysis, compliance, and investor communications. Complexity and ownership of projects will increase over time with commensurate experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain and submit schedules/reports required under credit line agreements and indentures, including quarterly, monthly and daily compliance schedules and reports for lending facilities
  • Maintain and update borrowing bases on a periodic (monthly) and ad hoc basis for lending facilities
  • Review monthly CLO trustee reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance according to the indenture
  • Maintain and track credit estimates with various ratings agencies
  • Maintain and update schedules relating to the portfolio and fund performance metrics using large data sets
  • Maintain and update schedules for investor relations team
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and reports for the investor relations team and other internal teams
  • Develop reporting knowledge pertaining to SolvencyII private debt reporting requirements
  • Provide analytical support to Treasury team
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual filings
  • Assist with the annual reviews and audits

Desired Skills & Experience

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 0-2 years of directly related experience
  • Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of GAAP accounting
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate a strong work ethic and be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of financial statements and analysis
  • CFA candidate preferred/consideration
