Deerpath is focused on providing debt capital for acquisitions, refinancings, ownership transitions and growth capital to companies in the U.S. lower middle market. Deerpath has investment offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale, as well as overseas investor relations offices in London, Seoul, Tokyo and Brisbane. The firm employs approximately 100 employees globally.

Primary Responsibilities

The Investor Relations Associate/Senior Associate will support the Product Specialist vertical within the Investor Relations group on all aspects of fundraising, client relations and firm marketing, with key responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Become an expert on the firm and its history, investment strategy, products, structures and competitive landscape to respond to outstanding investor inquiries, requests and other follow-ups, ensuring timely responses
  • Manage the preparation of investor presentations, quarterly updates and other ad hoc deliverables
  • Complete investor due diligence requests and RFPs and coordinate other ad hoc requests with relevant internal teams
  • Assist with roadshow buildout and coordination as well as preparation of materials for meetings
  • Support the coverage and management of existing and prospective investor accounts
  • Manage maintenance and organization of internal CRM system
  • Assist with planning, materials and execution of Annual Limited Partner Meeting
  • Manage investor closing process
  • Manage completion of various reporting requirements
  • Research, ad hoc projects, other ongoing IR responsibilities

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services-related experience, minimum of 2 years of Investor Relations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Alternative Asset Funds, and Direct Lending in particular is strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with an ability to work independently at times without a high degree of oversight
  • Ability to work with and across functional lines within the firm
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage multiple, parallel responsibilities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to “see the bigger picture” and get to the heart of issues rapidly
